The core components of Cold Dwen Mold
Cold pier molds are usually composed of multiple key components, each responsible for different functions, working together to complete the cold pier forming process:
Concave mold (lower mold): fixed on the concave mold seat of the cold pier machine, with a forming cavity inside, which is the main space for metal material deformation and directly determines the shape of the part (such as the shape of the bolt head and the internal thread prefabricated cavity of the nut).
Convex punch: Installed on the punch seat of the cold pier machine, it applies pressure to the material through reciprocating motion, pushing the material into the concave mold cavity, and its shape matches the internal shape or end features of the part (such as the pre formed punch of the bolt shank).
Top material device: including top rod, top material plate, etc., used to push the formed parts out of the concave mold after the cold pier is completed, avoiding part retention.
Guidance device: composed of guide columns and guide sleeves, ensuring the coaxiality of the convex and concave molds during movement (usually required to be ≤ 0.01mm), preventing misalignment that may cause damage to the mold or scrap of parts.
Unloading device: used to peel off materials that may stick to the punch during the return of the punch, ensuring smooth molding for the next time.
